Pirates vs. Mermaids was a Phestival that occured during V0.9.0. The Phestival was announced on 2 September 2024 and took place from 8 to 16 September.
Overview
Pirates vs. Mermaids was a Phestival themed around summer. Valk represented Team Pirates, and Dom represented Team Mermaids.

Scoring changes
At the midway point of the Phestival, each team receives 10 points for every category won, and the data for the four categories are then reset. Once the Phestival ends, the categories are recounted, with each category now worth 20 points. The team with the highest cumulative number of points wins.

Trivia
- Pirate Valk and Mermaid Dom were designed by time_woods and avonot, respectively.
- The in-game announcement stated that players could select their Phestival team a day before the event began, but this was never implemented.
- Sunken Ban Hammer, Dutchman Scythe, and Captain Rocket were made by guest modelers avonot, shinon, and YourFriendZeal, respectively.
- Dutchman Scythe's concept was created by 23sanx.
- The two maps introduced during this Phestival, ROBLOX City and Raven Rock, are the first Escort maps to enter general rotation.
- Phestival-exclusive intro dialogue was added during the final day of the Phestival.
