Shurifin
Shurifin is an unlockable skin for Shuriken. It can be obtained by speaking to its NPC to the right of the Thieves' Den tunnel near the ledge for 40,000 Bux.
Shurifin was released on 18 July 2023, during the Ice Cream vs. Popsicle Phestival. This skin depicts Shuriken shirtless with beige ripped shorts and several fish features on his body, such as a fish tail, fins, and scales. He wears a lifesaver on his back along with a pair of beige sandals. His horns have golden decorations around them and he boasts a large fin on his head. Shurifin's shurikens are now coral stars instead of the typical shuriken design. When using Stars of the Storm, it'll play a sound similar to bubbles popping and the shurikens are now blue. When using Stab of the Betrayer, the normally green effect is now replaced with a blue, water splash texture. When using Traverse the Horizon, the rope will become blue. When he uses his Illusions of the Smoke, the effects are now blue and the sound of a deep water drop. The area around where the ability become a splashy kind of texture. When using Guillotine Blossom, a splash effect will appear below his feet and the shurikens are replaced with starfish. When firing the starfish shurikens, it'll create a bubble popping sound.
Shuri-Lóng
Shuri-Lóng is an unlockable skin for Shuriken. It can be obtained by speaking to its NPC atop the roof of the green boggio apartments for 30,000 Bux. During the Dove vs. Crow Phestival, it required an additional 500 endorsements to purchase. The endorsement requirement was removed on 6 April 2024.
Shuri-Lóng was released on 29 February 2024, during the Dove vs. Crow Phestival. This skin takes inspiration from the Shenlong "god dragon" from Chinese culture. This skin depicts Shuriken wearing a round-brimmed hat with two talismans on either side, along with a set of typical eastern robes. Shuriken presents two tufts of fur on his cheeks as well as an alternate face pattern. His shuriken design is unchanged from the default skin. This skin alters Shuriken's sounds and effects, but not his dialogue or animations.
When using Stars of the Storm, the original sound effect plays with the a strum of a guzheng as more shurikens are gained. When released, the original sound plays again, but with a guzheng chord being played alongside it. If all three shurikens are thrown, then the end of the track increases in volume. When reloading, a sound similar to chimes plays. When using Stab of the Betrayer, there is a strum of the guzheng being played alongside the original sound. If a backstab lands successfully, then the same sound but slightly higher in pitch and louder is played. Both instances contain an effect at the end of the animation containing a ring with curved tips. When using Traverse the Horizon, the sound of jostling fabric is played with a creak near the end of the track. His grapple is now a light green. When using Illusions of the Smoke, as a clone is summoned, the same effect from Stab of the Betrayer is shown around him as a clone appears expect a larger one encases the smaller one. The audio effect sounds like a muted and blunted guzheng sound. When using Guillotine Blossom, three guzheng chords are played as the sound of smoke is played as a faint and low howl ends the track. The same curved-tipped ring is shown around the user.
