Annihilate functions similarly to Team Deathmatch in other games. Killing players from the other team grants a player's team one point. The first team to reach the required amount of kills wins.
Annihilate has several interactions:
The first score cap of Annihilate is set at 10 points. The following score caps increase at 5-point increments.
Upon reaching a score cap, the cap will break after 45 seconds or after both teams reach within 2 points of the cap.
Any kill gained by a team during a score cap will lower its timer by 10 seconds.
Dying from killbricks or other hazards will grant the other team a point if the player has been previously hit by an enemy.
Using the Reset function in ROBLOX's menu while at full health and shield does not grant the other team a point.
If neither team reaches the required score by the end of the match, the match will go into Overtime.
If one team reaches the score requirement while the other is only a single point behind, Overtime will then immediately trigger for 10 seconds.
All kills are now worth 2 points each during Overtime.
The scoreboard UI is made visible during Overtime.
If a team reaches the required score during the game, the match will end immediately.
The required score is dependent on the amount of players, for every player in the match will increase the score by 2.
The required score will increase if more players join mid-round, but will not decrease if players leave.
2 new versions of the Annihilate gamemode were published for testing:
First to X points
Points needed for a team to win is determined by: no. of players * 2. This requirement cannot update mid-match if players leave or join.
Once a team reaches this point requirement, the match is ended immediately and a victory is given to them.
If a team reaches the point requirement but the other team is only a single point behind, Overtime is triggered for 10 seconds.
Losing points
Functions the same as the 'first to X points' version, but the leading team will now have a 20 second timer on their score. Once this timer runs out, their score is reduced by 1. Gaining points from kills will reset this timer. The score cap timer will take priority over this timer.
These two modes can be toggled in private servers by using /anver 2 and /anver 3 respectively. /anver 1 can be used to set Annihilate to its default version.
The winning team is now determined by the first to get 20 points; once a team reaches this requirement, the match is ended immediately.
If a team reaches 20 points with the other team at 19 points, Overtime is triggered for 10 seconds.
The leading team now has a 20 second timer on their score; once this timer runs out, their score is reduced by 1. Gaining points from kills resets this timer.
