V0.3.0, alternatively named Playtest 3 is the second major content update for PHIGHTING! It released on 26 August 2022, 3:00 PM EST and closed on 1 October.
Event - Summer 2022
The second in-game event themed the Phestival 4 - Sun vs Moon. During this event, kills and assists on enemy players leave behind a Sun Essence or Moon Essence which can be collected by touching them. The drop depends on the class the player is currently playing:
- Sun Essence
- Moon Essence
Sun Essence, Moon Essence and Bux are used to purchase the event-exclusive skins offered by temporary NPCs present at Crossroads, which are:
- Floatie Biograft - 75 Moon Essence and 2.5k bux
- Cooler Boombox - 50 Sun Essence and 7.5k bux
- Pirate Medkit - 75 Sun Essence, 75 Moon Essence and 5k bux
In addition, the following maps received a summer touch-up to celebrate the event:
Phestivals
During the release of v0.3.0, two Phestivals occurred using the themes:
- Vanilla vs Chocolate
- Sun vs Moon
Furthermore, this version introduces Multiplier Matches, giving players an opportunity to multiply their Phestival points by 13x and 66.6x through winning these matches that occur by random-chance.
Phestival 3 - Vanilla vs Chocolate

The third Phestival features the theme, Vanilla vs Chocolate. This Phestival started on the update's release, 26 August 2022 3:00 PM EST and ended at 30 August, 12:00 AM EST.
Phestival 4 - Sun vs Moon

The fourth Phestival features the theme, Sun vs Moon. The Phestival will start on the update's release, 2 September 2022 3:00 PM EST and will end at 6 September, 12:00 AM EST.
This Phestival was created due to the positive reception the game received on the release of v0.3.0 and to give players who missed out on Phestival 3 a chance to participate in Phestival 4.
New Phighters
Starting from this update, Biograft and Hyperlaser are available to play. Biograft was implemented on the update's release date, while Hyperlaser was implemented into the game on 26 August 2022, 11:00 PM EST.
