Score Cap

From PHIGHTING! Wiki

The Score Cap is a mechanic that restricts how many points a team can lead over the opposing team during a match. The Score Cap is represented by the maximum amount of points that can be accumulated by a team, varying by gamemode. When a team meets the set score cap, they are unable to gain additional points until the opposing team reaches the score cap or until the timer above the team's score runs out. On Annihilate, the timer is 43 seconds and is reduced by 10 every time the leading team scores a kill. Then, the maximum number of points is increased by a fixed increment. If the leading team is two score caps ahead of the opposing team, the timer will not appear and the team will be unable to gain more points until the opposing team catches up.

The score cap varies by gamemode:

The score cap is removed during the last 15 seconds of a match and going into Overtime.
