Status Effects are temporary modifiers that apply to Phighters. Status effects can be positive, negative or neutral. Status effects can be inflicted from certain abilities.

In this page, status effects will be placed into three categories:

  1. Positive status effects - Any status effect that improves a Phighter's performance
  2. Negative status effects - Any status effect that inhibits a Phighter's performance
  3. Misc. status effects - Status effects that provide neither positive or negative effect on the player and statuses that are not mentioned in-game.

Positive

Armored

Armored is a status effect that reduces incoming damage to its owner by a percentage amount. Only blocks damage under 50.

Bounce

Bounce is a status effect the increases the jump height to its owner by a percentage amount

Cleanse

Cleanse is a status effect that removes all negative effects from a player.
Cleanse can remove the following status effects:

  • Bound (if not self-inflicted)
  • Poison
  • Slow (if not self-inflicted)
  • Stun
  • Vulnerable
  • Wireframe


Cleanse cannot remove the following status effects:

  • Bound (self-inflicted only)
  • Force
  • Immovable
  • Slow (self-inflicted only)
  • Overheat

Haste

Haste is a status effect that increases the a player's walkspeed by a fixed or percentage value for a specified duration.

The following abilities apply Haste:

Immovable is the internal name of a status effect that grants the player immunity to being displaced by force.

Immunity

Immunity is a status effect that makes a player invulnerable to all damage sources and status effects. Status effects cannot be applied to players with immunity.

The following applies Immunity:

  • All players are granted Immunity for approximately 5 seconds upon spawning.

Regeneration

Regeneration is a status effect that consumes 1 stack to restore 1 health per 0.2 seconds.

Regeneration has the following interactions:

  • Regen is capped at 25 stacks if the player is at full hitpoints.
  • If the player is not at full hitpoints, the maximum cap is increased to 75 stacks.
  • Receiving any base healing removes Regeneration stacks equivalent to the health restored.
  • Support Phighters receive 25% less regen stacks. This does not apply if the Phighter applys it to themselves.

Antiheal

Antiheal is a status effect that blocks all healing on the recipient.

Bound

Bound is a status effect which reduces the recipient player's jump height by a percentage amount. If a player reaches 100 Bound, they will be unable to jump and use abilities that are cast via jumping.

Poison

Poison is a status effect that causes the recipient player to take repeated instances of damage. A player with the Poison status effect will consume 1 stack of Poison every 0.2 seconds, taking 1 damage when consumed. Poison will not do damage if the player has only 10 hp remaining

Slow is a status effect that reduces the player's walkspeed by a fixed or percentage value for a specified duration.

Vulnerable

Disables

Disabling effects renders the recipient player from being able to perform specific actions for a specified duration. There are four types of disable effects.

  • Ground
  • Root
  • Stun
  • Wireframe

Grounded

Grounded is a status effect that disables the recipient's movement abilities. It also forces any levitating player (self-applied or not) to fall onto the ground. Grounding a Skateboard will deboard him.

Root is a status effect that causes the player to become immobilized and unable to jump for the duration. The player can still use abilities and they can still move with push force effects.

Stun

Stun is a status effect that causes the player to become immobilized and unable to use abilities, making them vulnerable to attack.

Stun has a few interactions.

  • Stuns will override mobility abilities during their use.
  • Stuns can apply during a Phinisher animation, but will not cancel it.
  • Multiple instances of stuns will extend the total stun duration.

Wireframe

Wireframe is a status effect that stops the player from attacking or using their abilities. This status effect is exclusive to Hyperlaser.

Misc.

Force

Force is an internal value that measures the strength of a displacement or dash. The higher the number, the stronger a displacement or dash's effects are. Force has multiple properties:

  • Force cannot stack.
  • Force will overwrite other force effects on the Phighter.

There are multiple types of Force:

  • Dash force
  • Fling force
  • Knockback force
  • Pull force
  • Push force

Fling

Fling is a status effect that launches the player vertically. Fling height is measured by studs.


The following abilities apply fling.

Knockback

While not officially named in-game, Knockback is a status effect that moves the player away from the source of the knockback. The strength of knockback is measured as "Knockback Force", the formula for the number of studs the player is displaced by is unknown.

The following abilities apply knockback.

Pull

Pull is a status effect that drags the player towards the source of the displacement. It shares the same mechanics and interactions as Knockback.

The following abilities apply Pull.

Push

Push is a status effect that pushes the player horizontally at a set speed. Push strength is measured by studs.

Overheat

Overheat is a status effect exclusive to Biograft through his Phinisher, Overdrive. Overheat grants Biograft a 50% damage boost to Dual Swing, but causes his hitpoints to decay at a rate of 1 per 0.25 seconds.
