Health and Shields are a statistic used by Phighters in PHIGHTING! These statistics measure the durability of each phighter and how much damage they can take before dying.

Health

A statistic (indicated in green) present as a statistic for all phighters. Any damage done to a phighter's health cannot be restored without a healing ability. If a phighter's health reaches 0, they die.

An exception is Boombox's Forcefield, which cannot be healed by the player or their allies.

Shields

A statistic (indicated in blue) present in certain phighters and abilities. Shields can be removed after taking sufficient damage. Unlike health, healing abilities do not restore shields. When the player takes damage, shields (if present) will always be prioritized before health in this order:

  1. Temporary shields
  2. Innate shields

An exception to this rule is Biograft's, Echo Execution, which can kill players regardless of their shield amount if they meet the <25% health execution threshold.

Innate shields

Shield that is part of a phighter's general statistics. Innate shields are permanent. If the player does not take damage for 8 seconds, it will begin to gradually regenerate to their max capacity at X shield/sec.

Technically, Medkit's ultimate, Divine Resurrection can restore innate shields through reviving dead players.

Temporary shields

Shields temporarily granted to the player through abilities. Temporary shields are lost if its duration expires.
