This version was released on 26 August 2022 at 3:00 PM EST.

General additions and changes

  • The main lobby has received a visual overhaul.
  • The title screen now has two new intro animations: a longer one for first time players and a shorter variant.
  • The loading screen is now skippable.
  • Game UI can be turned off by pressing N.
  • Music can be muted by pressing M.
  • Each Phighter now has spoken dialogue that plays on start of game, kills, victory and defeat.
  • Hitboxes for all abilities have been changed to be server-side instead of client-side. To put it into summary on what this affects:
    • Players on higher ping will not have an advantage over players with lower ping.
  • Matches now have an intro shot of the played map and a countdown timer before the game starts.
  • The gamemodes, Deathmatch and Point were renamed to Annihilate and Conquer respectively.
  • The following original tracks were added:

Phighter balance changes

Boombox:

  • General additions and changes
    • Health reduced from 150 to 100.
  • Pulse Wave
    • Damage reduced from 12 to 8.
    • Ally healing reduced from 16 to 0.
  • Shielding Amplifier
    • REWORKED: Damaging at least one enemy with Pulse Wave grants you a charge, max. 4 charges. On activation, consumes all charges to release an AoE that heals allies and damages enemies. Each charge increases the damage, healing and knockback force.
    • Damage changed from 10 to 5 + 5 * no. of charges.
    • Healing changed from 0 to 10 * no. of charges.
    • Knockback force changed from unknown to 5 * no. of charges.
  • Protecting Overtone
    • NEW EFFECTS: Protecting Overtone now follows the player instead of staying at an area. Now uses an open cylinder shape instead of a sphere.
    • Health reduced from 400 to 250.
    • Protecting Overtone size significantly reduced.
    • Duration increased from 11 seconds to 15 seconds.
    • REMOVED: Protecting Overtone can no longer be recasted.

General additions and changes:

  • Hyperlaser was added to the game.
  • A giant sign saying "PLAY" has been added above Zuka.
  • Increased volume for One Minute Left theme.
  • Player count reduced from 12 to 10.
  • Crossroads lobby
    • Zuka now has lighting above his pickup truck to indicate his location.
    • REMOVED: Game lobby no longer has a door. To go back to the Crossroads lobby, the player has to talk to Zuka.

Biograft:

  • Overdrive
    • NEW EFFECT: The player no longer generates ult points while active.

Medkit:

Slingshot:

  • Quick Feet
    • Double jump cooldown reduced from 1 second + hover duration to 0.25 seconds + hover duration.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed stickers on the sticker wheel not displaying.
  • Biograft's badge, Your Demise now works.
  • Fixed a typo in one of Dom's dialogues.
  • Players are no longer taken back to the menu screen when brought back to the Crossroads lobby.
  • Private servers now teleport you to your private server when joining a game through it.
  • Hitboxes no longer break if a headshot occurs.
  • Intro cutscene no longer causes a black screen softlock.
  • Hitboxes no longer break and disable your abilities.
