Hitpoints are a statistic used by all Phighters in PHIGHTING! Hitpoints measures a Phighter's durability, how much damage they need to take before dying. Hitpoints comes in two forms, Health and Shields.

Health

A statistic (indicated in green) present as a statistic for all Phighters. Any damage done to a Phighter's health bar cannot be restored without a healing ability. If a Phighter's health reaches 0, they die.

An exception is Boombox's Forcefield, which cannot be healed by the player or their allies.

Shields

A statistic (indicated in blue) present in certain Phighters and abilities. Shields can be removed after taking sufficient damage. Unlike health, healing abilities do not restore shields. When the player takes damage, shields (if present) will always be prioritized before health in this order:

  1. Overshield
  2. Innate shield
  3. Health

Certain abilities can deal damage through shields. The list of abilities includes:

Innate shield
