Status Effects are temporary modifiers that apply to Phighters. Status effects can be positive, negative or neutral. Status effects can be inflicted from certain abilities.
In this page, status effects will be placed into three categories:
- Positive status effects - Any status effect that improves a Phighter's performance
- Negative status effects - Any status effect that inhibits a Phighter's performance
- Misc. status effects - Status effects that provide neither positive or negative effect on the player and statuses that are not mentioned in-game.
Positive
Armored
Armored is a status effect that reduces incoming damage by a percentage amount. Only blocks damage under 50.

Bounce is a status effect that increases jump height by a percentage amount.
Recieving Bound will remove an equivalent percentage of Bounce, and vice versa.

Cleanse
Cleanse is a status effect that removes all negative effects from a player.
Cleanse can remove the following status effects:
- Bound (if not self-applied)
- Poison
- Slow (if not self-applied)
- Stun
- Vulnerable
- Wireframe
Cleanse cannot remove the following status effects:
- Bound (self-applied only)
- Force
- Immovable
- Slow (self-applied only)
- Overheat
The following abilities apply Cleanse:
Haste
Haste is a status effect that increases walkspeed by a percentage amount.
Recieving Slow will remove an equivalent percentage of Haste, and vice versa.

Immovable
Immovable is the internal name of a status effect that grants immunity to being displaced by force.

Immunity
Immunity is a status effect that grants immunity to all damage sources and status effects. Status effects cannot be applied to players with immunity.
The following applies Immunity:
- All players are granted Immunity for approximately 5 seconds upon spawning.
Regeneration
Regeneration is a status effect that consumes 1 stack to restore 1 health per 0.2 seconds. This status effect is exclusive to Vine Staff.
Regeneration has the following interactions:
- Regeneration is capped at 25 stacks if the player is at full health.
- If the player is not at full health, the maximum is 75 stacks.
- Receiving any base healing removes Regeneration stacks equivalent to the health restored.
- Support Phighters receive 25% less Regeneration stacks. This does not apply if it is self-applied.

Negative
Antiheal
Antiheal is a status effect that blocks all healing on the recipient. This status effect is exclusive to Shuriken.

Bound
Bound is a status effect which reduces jump height by a percentage amount. If a player reaches 100% Bound, they will be unable to jump and use abilities that are cast via jumping.
Recieving Bounce will remove an equivalent percentage of Bound, and vice versa.

Poison
Poison is a status effect that consumes 1 stack to deal 1 damage per 0.2 seconds. Poison will not do damage if the player has only 10 HP remaining. This status effect is exclusive to Subspace.
The following abilities apply Poison:
Slow
Slow is a status effect that reduces walkspeed by a percentage amount.
Recieving Haste will remove an equivalent percentage of Slow, and vice versa.

- Hyperlaser's Locked and Loaded, Piercing Ray and Voltaic Grenade
- Shuriken's Stars of the Storm, Stab of the Betrayer and Illusions of the Smoke

Supported
Supported is a status effect that reduces any recieved healing or shield by 33% for each stack for 6 seconds.
Supported has the following interactions:
- Supported is applied when a Phighter is receiving healing or shield from 2 or more support Phighters.
- A Supported stack is applied when a Phighter recieves another support source within 5 seconds of the last source.
- Supported's duration is refreshed once another stack is applied.
- Each support Phighter can only apply 1 Supported stack on each ally.
- The support source that applies a Supported stack will itself be reduced by that percentage.
- Healing from Regeneration can not apply a Supported stack, though the application of Regeneration can.
- When calculating the reduced healing and shield, Support penalty will subtract first (If applicable), then Supported.
Support penalty
Support penalty is a permanent status effect that applies to all support Phighters excluding Subspace.
Support penalty reduces any healing or shield from support Phighters to other support Phighters by 25%.
Vulnerable
Vulnerable is a status effect that amplifies incoming damage dealt to the recipient by a percentage amount. Vulnerable lasts 8 seconds. This status effect is exclusive to Subspace.
The following abilities apply Vulnerable:
Disables
Disabling effects render the affected player unable to perform specific actions for a specified duration. There are four types of disabling effects.
- Grounded
- Root
- Stun
- Wireframe
If Skateboard recieves a disabling effect, he will be forced off board.
Grounded
Grounded is a status effect that disables movement abilities. It also forces any levitating player (self-applied or not) to fall onto the ground.
The following abilities are disabled by grounded:
- Sword's Lunge and Dolphin Slash
- Skateboard's SWITCH!! and RUN!!
- Biograft's Blink and Echo Execution
- Ban Hammer's Deposition and Litigation
- Rocket's Liftoff
- Slingshot's Sidestep
- Hyperlaser
- Shuriken's Traverse the Horizon and Illusions of the Smoke
- Medkit's Crystal Shift
- Boombox's Bass Boost / Beat Drop
- Subspace's
The following abilities apply Grounded:
Root
Root is a status effect that causes the player to become immobilized and unable to jump for its duration. The player is still able to use abilities and can still move via push force effects.

Stun
Stun is a status effect that causes the player to become immobilized and unable to use abilities for its duration.
Stun has the following interactions:
- Stuns will override mobility abilities during their use.
- Stuns can apply during a Phinisher animation, but will not cancel it.
- Multiple instances of stuns will extend the total stun duration.
The following abilities apply Stun:
- Sword's Lunge
- Skateboard's BASH 'EM!! and THE COOL, RAD, COFFIN!!
- Katana's Thread Tow
- Ban Hammer's Order and Judgement
Wireframe
Wireframe is a status effect that stops the player from attacking or using abilities. This status effect is exclusive to Hyperlaser.
The following abilities apply Wireframe:
Misc.
Force
Force is an internal value that measures the strength of a displacement or dash. The higher the number, the stronger a displacement or dash's effects are. Force has multiple properties:
- Force cannot stack.
- Force will overwrite other force effects on the Phighter.
There are multiple types of Force:
- Dash force
- Fling force
- Knockback force
- Pull force
- Push force
Fling
Fling is a status effect that launches the player vertically. Fling height is measured by studs.
The following abilities apply Fling:
- Sword's Dolphin Slash
- Ban Hammer's Deposition
- Medkit's Rejuvenation Ring
- Boombox's Raining Tacos
- Subspace's Noxious Void (Explosion)
Knockback
While not officially named in-game, Knockback is a status effect that moves the player away from the source of the knockback. The strength of knockback is measured as "Knockback Force", the formula for the number of studs the player is displaced by is unknown.
The following abilities apply Knockback:
- Sword's All-Mighty Axle Arc
- Skateboard's RUN!! and BOOST!!
- Ban Hammer's Prosecution and Litigation (Final hit)
- Rocket's Rocket Shot, Charged Blast, Liftoff, Multi-Missiles and Grand Cannonade
- Hyperlaser's Voltaic Grenade and Voltaic Phase
- Medkit's Crystal Shift
- Boombox's Bass Boost / Beat Drop and Protecting Overtone
Pull
Pull is a status effect that drags the player towards the source of the displacement. It shares the same mechanics and interactions as Knockback.
The following abilities apply Pull:
- Katana's Thread Tow
- Ban Hammer's Order and Judgement
- Boombox's Bass Boost / Beat Drop
- Subspace's Noxious Void
Push
Push is a status effect that pushes the player horizontally at a set speed. Push strength is measured by studs.
The following abilities apply Push:
Overheat
Overheat is a status effect exclusive to Biograft through their Phinisher, Overdrive. Overheat grants Biograft a 50% damage boost to Dual Swing, but causes their hitpoints to decay at a rate of 1 per 0.25 seconds, its rate doubling every 15 seconds.
