This means they do not excrete waste, sweat being an exception. Their horns are bone, and can be styled similarly to nails (example: painting them, [[Rocket]] carving his horns to look like [[Zuka]]'s). Biology

All Phighters possess some form of horns, however, they can be removed as seen in cases such as Hyperlaser. Phighters do not have a sex, they only have preferred pronouns. This means they do not excrete waste, sweat being an exception. Their horns are bone, and can be styled similarly to nails (example: painting them, Rocket carving his horns to look like Zuka's). Carving horns does require maintenance - it is not a permanent alteration. Younger Phighters can regrow their horns faster, however in older Phighters they will not. If the entirety of their horns is removed, they will die.

Phighter roster

There are three separate categories to determine what a phighters intended use is: These categories are Melee, Ranged, and Support. There are (as of 2023) a total of 11 phighters, with 2 new phighters being confirmed later. There are currently 4 melee, 4 ranged, and 3 support. The melee phighters are Sword, Skateboard, Biograft, and Katana, though Ban Hammer will arrive shortly in this category. The next category, ranged, consists of Rocket, Slingshot, Hyperlaser, and Shuriken. Lastly, the support phighters. This is Medkit, Boombox, and Subspace, though Vine Staff will be introduced shortly in this category.

List of Phighters by release date

On the initial release of PHIGHTING!, only 5 Phighters were part of the initial roster. As of present, there are 11 Phighters in the roster (11 playable, 2 unreleased). By the full release, the game is expected to have 21 Phighters in its roster.

Scrapped Phighters

  • Jetpack
    • Was in the original lineup, removed for something else.
  • Pulse Laser Pistol
    • Too similar to other kits in the base list.
  • Coil
    • Complicated planned moveset.

Phighters in development:

  • Vine Staff (actively in development)
  • Ban Hammer (will not be developed until the release of Vine Staff)

Teasers

Phighters have been teased through various means on the Boggio community server, or in-game. Following Playtest 1, a fill-in-the-blank roadmap was given to the public, which reveals the Phighters of the game's base roster. Note: The list of teasers does not include the ones given to server boosters. The fill-in-the-blank is not finalized, changes may occur.
