Sun vs. Moon is a Phestival that occurred during V0.3.0. The Phestival was announced on 31 August 2022 and took place from 2 to 6 September.
Overview
Sun vs. Moon is a Phestival created in reponse to the positive reception and growth of PHIGHTING! during Vanilla vs. Chocolate. Valk represented Team Sun, and Dom represented Team Moon.

Essence
During the Phestival, players would drop collectible Sun Essence or Moon Essence at their location upon death. The drop depends on the Phighter the player is currently using:
- Sun Essence:
- Moon Essence:
Sun Essence, Moon Essence, and Bux were used to purchase newly released skins at a discounted Bux price for a limited time. three skins were purchasable for the following Essence and Bux price:
- Floatie Biograft: 75 Moon Essence and 2.5k Bux
- Cooler Boombox: 50 Sun Essence and 7.5k Bux
- Pirate Medkit: 75 Sun Essence, 75 Moon Essence and 5k Bux
Once the Phestival concluded, Essence could no longer be obtained. By interacting with Darkheart in Crossroads, players could exchange them at a rate of 100 Bux per Essence type they had the most of and 50 Bux per Essence type they had the least of.
