Background

Medkit is a healer factioned with Lost Temple and affiliated with The Church of the TRUE EYE. He was once a part of Blackrock as an energy scientist studying crystals before an incident with Subspace caused him to escape Blackrock and be branded a traitor, ergo being wanted by the law. Due to this, he is sworn enemies with Subspace and aims to seek protection from him by trading his gear modification expertise for protection with The Church.

Appearance

Medkit has two horns resembling antlers protruding from the sides of his head close to the front. A diamond-shaped luminescent teal crystal floats between them, its glow dependent on Medkit's mood. A ring is hung on the brow tine of his right horn.

He wears a black diamond-shaped eyepatch with a gold inline border accent that covers his left eye, the solid black strap going over his scalp in a circle around his horn. Medkit's outfit is a forest-green suit jacket with gold accents over a teal undershirt and cravat along with black gloves as well as pants that are a forest-green monochromatic checkered pattern which is the uniform for the cult.

His namesake medkit gear is wielded in his left hand. It has a casing with the same forest-green motif as his pants, a teal cross signifier on its face, and gold bump guards at every rounded corner. Two gold straps go along the connected edge of the medkit with teal clasps holding it in place. It has a gold handle with a teal grip at the top.

He wields a revolver in his right hand. The revolver is forest green except for the barrel and grip with a forest-green and teal checkered pattern; the cylinder housing, sight, top strap, and trigger are gold-coloured.

Personality

Medkit can be seen as outwardly forlorn, being cynical and sardonic at the expense of others but also caring about them as a doctor would. Despite this, Medkit hates being a doctor and is called one yet was ironically created with the gift of healing. He finds more fascination with technology and engineering topics and misses when he could collaborate and make new things to help others. Medkit has a very sophisticated taste, only eating foods of the highest quality and sees consuming things like juice as childish.

Lore

Medkit was formerly a scientist from Blackrock as an energy scientist co-working with Subspace on studying crystals mined underneath Blackrock. Medkit wanted to use his crystal research for good as healing and revival from death, counter to Subspace which ended up in an altercation with him. This ended with Subspace ripping Medkit's eye out and Medkit defending himself by inflicting a rot on Subspace that continues to plague him to the present in-game canon. Medkit swears Subspace as his sworn enemy and escapes Blackrock to Lost Temple. Seeing as defecting from a faction is a crime, this puts him as wanted by the law.

He then becomes affiliated with The Church of The TRUE EYE using biological familial ties, seeking refuge and protection from the law and Subspace by trading them his gear modification expertise. This then puts him in a close coworking relationship with The Broker and Scythe. This is how Scythe got her gear modified into a rifle and laser-scythe hybrid.

He currently lives in Crossroads after presumably living in Lost Temple based on the phone call from Broker, much to the cult's annoyance. Broker accuses Medkit of attempting to run away from the agreement from this.
